“Del Pontormo a Murillo. Entre lo Sagrado y lo Profano”

Exhibition at the National Museum of San Carlos
Mexico City

In collaboration with Colnaghi Foundation

June-October 2017

Fundación Callia, with the collaboration of the National Museum of San Carlos and the Colnaghi Foundation, brought together Renaissance, Mannerist and Baroque pieces that had never been exhibited in Mexico before.

A great part of the exhibition was devoted to the force and passion of the Baroque movement with a special focus on the artists of the Spanish Golden Century. The show was formed by works of artists of great relevance such as José de Ribera, Francisco de Zurbarán, Carreño de Miranda or the Divino Morales, among others.
