Claudia Comte

On Sunday, February 20, 2022, as part of the VII Ibero-American Patronage Awards, the Callia Foundation organized the “The Luck of Giving” meetings at the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation, with the participation of Swiss artist Claudia Comte.

Comte is an artist whose work is defined by her interest in the memory of the materials she works with and the protection of the environment. Using wood and marble, she has always sought inspiration in the landscape, in traditional craftsmanship and the knowledge of local communities. He studied at the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, where he was taught by John Armleder, an optical artist representing the Fluxus movement of the 1960s and 1970s.
